Specialist in Marine solutions
Wherever two surfaces on a ship have to be connected with a Seal, or fluids have to be controlled you will find Klinger products. Klinger Valves and Seals are widely used in demanding applications, where abrasive and aggressive media under high temperature and pressure have to be handled and controlled safely.
Development of Customized solutions
In close cooperation with shipyards we develop customized solutions. Together with Odense Shipyard (OSS) we have developed and introduced a new Klinger KHA-Firesafe ball Valve to be used as a Quick Closing Valve on fuel oil supply lines. The Valve solution meet the requirements in SOLAS Chapter II-2, 2002 / regulation 4. , and solved the problems OSS had with traditional Quick Closing Valves.
OSS' experience with traditional Quick Closing Valves was many failures and a very short lifetime due to the vibrations on installations near the ship engines.
The new Klinger KHA-Firesafe Quick Closing Ball Valve is not only relevant for new shipbuildings but also to existing ships as face to face length is equal to most of the traditional Quick Closing Valves.
