These types of expansion joints can be supplied with limit rods, liners, covers, rods, hinges or gimbals.
Floating flanged DF expansion joints are equipped with rotating (Vanstone) flange connections manufactured according to international standards such as ASME, EN, DIN, JIS, AS and BS, or with customized drilling patterns. The rotating flange design simplifies installation by compensating for bolt misalignment and eliminates the need for precise centering. In addition, the flange material is protected from direct contact with the process medium, helping to extend service life and reduce material costs.
These expansion joints are particularly suitable for low to medium pressure applications and are an excellent choice when handling corrosive media. The design allows the use of lower-grade flange materials while maintaining the required corrosion resistance through the bellows construction, providing a cost-effective solution. As the units are supplied with flange connections, no on-site welding is required.
Floating flanged expansion joints are widely used across a variety of industries and applications and can be supplied as either single or universal expansion joints, depending on the required movement and operating conditions. They are not generally recommended for very high-pressure applications where sealing performance is critical.
