Reading the liquid level in the gauge glass is performed by the naked eye, which is why it is important that the material is transparent, making the liquid level is visible. Transparent gauges are the most common types and are used in all standard applications, particularly when the medium is not transparent, the systems’ translucency is improved with an artificial light source which is mounted to the rear, thereby improving visibility.
