Klinger 311 is a Level probe are mainly used in water treatment, where they are used to measure the level in reservoirs, wells or other open water areas.
The submerged pressure transmitters are specially designed to operate while immersed in the medium, and they differ mainly from conventional pressure gauges in terms of tightness class, cable quality and corrosion resistance.

Using Pressure measurement for monitoring of liquid levels in tanks and bassins is called hydrostatic level measurement. The pressure of the liquid column on the measuring cell is an expression of the level above it.
There are special transmitters that have been developed for level measurement, but in principle all manometers and pressure transmitters can be used to measure the height of the liquid column. The principle depends on the density of the medium and the pressure of the atmosphere on the liquid surface, and in varying conditions reservations should be made for this.
